While I am surfing the website, I read the article about how teenagers are more connected to cyber world than adults. The author in the article says how teenagers value online chat more than adults. I agree with the article. It is for a fact that adults don't realize how important cyber world is to teenagers. Myriad of adults think that online brings harmful effects on teenagers. I think it is true about the negative effects, but cyber world do brings positive effects on teenagers.
Point one: Teenagers learn to socialize with others in virtual society. Through the use of internet, more teens nowadays know how to assimilate into the society and the basic skills to survive in it. The virtual world that they are in prepares them to live in a society similar to the structures of ours. By participate in the virtual society, teenagers learn to mature and to accept responsibilities. This helps them to survive under pressure.
Point two: The virtual society has changes that enables teenager to grow. Many socialize websites such as Facebook and Myspace enable teenagers to connect one and other. These socialize websites are similar structures to our current society in the real world. If the teenagers are able to manage network of friends, it enables the teenagers to have success in future careers.
Online society is permanent. Perhaps in the future, it will change. However, it will always exist. It is a way to prepare the youth to adapt into the society. Some of the adults need to realize that online society does help teenager to grow.

In a way, being online is both good and bad. I don't think that it is entirely bad, but I don't think it is entirely good either. Being cautious and using common sense is important. Other than that, I don't see a problem with chatting. Unless it prevents me from getting on my computer because my sisters will not stop chatting. lol.
Good blog. I completely agree with it too. I think I'd die without my computer, and from what I see, my parents don't even use the computer. Even though being online a lot has it's ups and downs, it's still a major part of our teenage lives :)
Nice blogg, I agree with you too how so many teens are attached to the computer and online stuff. I find it bad that a lot of teens, including me, spend a lot of time on the computer when they should be doing stuff like going out and all those stuff..
i should show this to my parents!
i think its harder for adults to socialize with their friends on the computer, mostly because they aren't really up to date with all of the new things, such as facebook, myspace, and aim.
great post =)
your post is so interesting. its true most teens are hooked to the internet including me. its alot easier communicate with people through the internet although you do have to watch out for those crazy online predators! lol
Great analysis. I agree that there are both good and bad things about the internet, but I think when used properly, the good outweigh the bad.
Im sorry I dont completely agree with your beliefs. I do believe and agree that it does help people connect and grow to an extent. However I NOT believe that online "societies" help you take on responsibilities and have successful futures. I believe that would require one to have real life personal experience with people and adults.
mm.. I enjoy going online too but if I honestly think about it, most of my time online is ended up wasted. and although it is a way to connect, relationships online are so artificial. you really need to get to know the person in real life. that's where true friendship grows.
Haha, Nice topic. I love being on the internet, but the internet isn't always a friendly place.
